Backlinks are incoming links to a site. When a site links to a page, it’s called a backlink. In the past, it was believed that websites with more backlinks tended to rank higher on all major search engines, including Google.
Are backlinks still necessary? Absolutely.
Now the following links are not the best but they’re links nonetheless. They will create whois pages for your site and get your site indexed by search engines.

Backlinked to what? I’d be highly suspicious. I mean, the best backlinks would be from related niches and would have high SEO metrics. For instance, does the backlink have a high DA (domain authority) score as well as a high TF (trust flow) one?
Anyway, I’m debating whether it’s worth my time or not – and if it could actually be harmful to my sites.
I’d rather spend time adding my forum to niche directories or to sites that submit my site for me….
